Terre

LANDS

There are places in Italy, which is hard to find in the geographical maps and much less marked as tourist destinations. Often on the border areas, including work built by man, to improve their quality of life, and the environment that remains around it.
Over four years from 2011 to 2015, crossing valleys and cities, I have met some that I saw quickly turn. It is called Environmental Impact. It hardly shows you what remains after. Starting from MUOS in Sicily and its electromagnetic waves, near the Sughereta Oriented in Niscemi, going beyond the Vajont Dam, in Veneto, where, 50 years after the disaster, growing a forest. To tell only some of the areas involved in the yards TAV in Val di Susa, along the Clarea the river, as among the hills of Mugello in tuscany and the more dense and inhabited around Genoa or between the Brenner Valleys. Here, as elsewhere, unfortunately, we dump of various materials, quarrying, deforestation go for a walk with landslides, floods and fine dust, and take it off, Memory, Nature and Freedom.
There are corners of this country where the disaster 50 years people have never ceased to live. There is L’Aquila, in the heart of this exhibition.
I have just gone through other cities such as Taranto and Catania and collected some aspects of Rome capital now only of useless big works, and cement.
I could go on this trip, but I’m going to begin another and expose these photos only on regional trains, accompanied by texts and voices of those who live and struggle in these lands in the first person, in some way possible, to protect them and tell to who will linten to it.
Because basically every place can be associated with all the stories and a story worth for all the photos. And for each of us.
I chose a few pictures with human figures, abstract silhouettes rather than men and women who sometimes get confused between antennas and wind turbines, including cranes and especially among the trees to try to tell the reasons why they get up, or bow .. . in defense of these Lands.
